Hello Tennis Friends!  The Ogden Valley Tennis and Pickleball Association (OVTA) is happy to announce our 5th Annual Tennis Tournament for Youth. We have had a wonderful tournament for the past 4 years and are so grateful for the support of Christy Tew who ran these in honor of her Husbands passing.  Christy has moved on to a new journey and adventure in her life but we love her and all she has done for Tennis in Ogden Valley!

We are so happy to continue having an Ogden Valley Tennis Tournament and invite you to register at OgdenValleyTennis@gmail.com.  This tournament will be held Friday, September 13th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Ogden Valley Tennis Complex at Snowcrest Jr. High. The cost to register is $15.

We will have Youth ages 8-12 on two courts and Youth ages 13-18 on two courts.  You must still be in High school to be eligible to play.  You also must be an amateur school or recreational player.

Summer Youth Lessons:

Lessons are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week from June 3rd to July 29th excluding the week of July 4th.  The cost is $30 a week per person for three days.

After you have received a confirmation email from the OVTA, you can pay for your lessons with the payment options to the right of this post. Please pay for the lessons, $15 a week per child, (half the $30) and put that in your cart, then add Community Foundation Ogden Valley (CFOV) match $15, for a total of $30 a week per child and check out.

We like to keep our classes small so each child has more time with the instructors, so when it is sold-out, it is sold-out. (We will let you know in a reply if it is sold out, the tabs won't tell you that...)

We have three times:

7:00 am to 8:00 am (adults and teens 9th grade up)
8:00 am to 9:00 am
9:00 am to 10:00 am

We will put your child in the time that is closest to your child's age or ability but please let us know your preference. If you have more than one child signed up, we will try to get them at the same time if possible.

Tip:
If you have one child or more taking lessons for 1 week; add "1 Week of Lessons" to your cart and then you can change the quantity on the payment page depending on how many kids you are signing up for that one week. Then, choose the corresponding number of weeks for the CFOV Match, add it to cart and Check-out.  This will generate your name twice on the Paypal report so we can show that you paid for a CFOV Match. This is new this year for our accountant.

Please email us at OgdenValleyTennis@gmail.com if you have any questions about the process

RAIN DAYS

THERE WILL BE NO TENNIS if it is raining or the courts are wet. It ruins the balls and the rackets. If it is raining, please Click on the RAIN DAY tab above and we will list the cancellation there. We will do make up days where possible or refund the day through paypal.

The Purpose of the CFOV Match Funds:
As many of you know, we are a non-profit association dedicated to fundraising to provide upkeep for these public courts and dedicated to the instruction of Tennis & Pickleball in the least expensive way, so every budget can afford lessons.

Our costs are simple... We have instructors to pay, we have perishable equipment (balls, teaching aids) long term equipment (benches, ball machine, backboard, nets, etc), and surface replacement ($26,000 every 10-15 years or so). All the members of Ogden Valley Tennis & Pickleball are unpaid volunteers, putting in hundreds of hours. The CFOV takes the money you donate to us and matches it so we can continue to provide affordable instruction.

How can you help us this year?
Last year they matched us at 100% of what they donate... $5000! We want to do that again, so encourage grandparents and friends looking for a Tax donation to donate to OVTA under the CFOV button on this site, or on www.CFOgdenValley.org.

Don't forget your donation is TAX DEDUCTIBLE. It helps us, it helps you. Please print out your email receipt and save it for your tax records.

In the fall we will add the button for the Yearly Tennis Tournament.  Here is the information on that:

The Dr. Kenyon Tew's Tennis Tournament is September 7th, 2019. You can sign up for that in the Fall.  This tournament doubled in size last year and will sell out.

CFOV DONOR MATCH FUNDS FOR NEW PICKLEBALL COURTS

Hello Pickleball Enthusiasts!

The Community Foundation of Ogden Valley is holding their Match Fund period.  Now is the time to donate as they will match all donated funds up to $5,000. Your donation will have twice the spending power.  We have two projects currently in the works for Public Regulation Pickleball courts.  First we were asked to help build two courts planned for Huntsville Park.  We have raised a lot of the money for those courts thanks to our friend Lowell Gunderson and the successful auction during Huntsville's 4th of July.  We have also brought in substantial funds from many individual donors.  We need to raise the last $40,000 for that project.

Second, we are helping to facilitate the building of 4-8 courts going up at the Ogden Valley Tennis Court Complex located at Snowcrest Jr. High in Eden.  We have raised almost $98,000 in funds or like kind exchange.  We are hoping to be awarded a R.A.M.P. grant for those, but we have to do our part in providing as much funding and in-kind donation as we can.

If you enjoy Pickleball and would like some state of the art courts near you, please donate now with the top two buttons to the right of this article.  There is a pull down menu for prices.  Choose the price you like and add it to the cart.  You can also add quantity in the checkout window.

If you are skilled in cement, ground preparation, electrical or engineering, please contact a member of the OVTA at OgdenValleyTennis@gmail.com

Thank you!

Summer Youth Lessons:

Lessons are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (all 3 days each week) at $30 a week. At this time we can't accommodate one day a week classes for the youth.  We do have 1, 2 or 3 day a week classes for the Adults, at 7:00am. Our evening class is 1 day a week from 6:30-8:00pm and are TBA.

We like to keep our classes small so each child has more time with the instructors, so when it is sold-out, it is sold-out.

We have three times:

7:00 am to 8:00 am (adults and teens 15+)
8:00 am to 9:00 am
9:00 am to 10:00 am

We will put your child in the time that is closest to your child's age or ability but please let us know your preference. If you have more than one child signed up, we will try to get them at the same time if possible.

After you have received a confirmation email from the OVTPA, you can pay for your lessons with the payment options to the right of this post. There are 4 buttons.  The first two are to pay for your children's lessons. The 1st button is for 1/2 the lesson cost, and the 2nd button is for 1/2 the lesson cost that will be MATCHED by the CFOV.

The third button is only for those taking all 7 weeks at a discount. Make sure you add the lessons to your cart and then choose "Continue Shopping" and add the CFOV portion to your cart.

The 4th button is for Adults or more advanced 15 years or older. You have the choice to take 1 day, 2 days or 3 days at 7:00AM.  As before, make sure you add the lessons to your cart and then choose "Continue Shopping" and add the CFOV portion to your cart.

So... if you have one child or more taking lessons for 1 week; add "1 Week of Lessons" to your cart and then you can change the quantity on the payment page depending on how many kids you are signing up.  Then Check-Out.  Then please come back to the site and choose the corresponding number of weeks for the CFOV Match, add it to cart and Chackout.  This will generate your name twice on the Paypal report so we can show that you paid for a CFOV Match.  This is new this year.

If you have one child or more taking lessons for 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks or more, you follow the same process, but choose the 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 week option etc...

RAIN DAYS

THERE WILL BE NO TENNIS if it is raining or the courts are wet.  If it is raining, please Click on the RAIN DAY tab above and we will list the cancellation there. We will do make up days where possible or refund the day through paypal.

The Purpose of the CFOV Match Funds:

As many of you know, we are a non-profit association dedicated to the instruction of Tennis in the least expensive way, so every budget can afford tennis lessons.

Our costs are simple... We have instructors to pay, we have perishable equipment (balls, teaching aids) and long term equipment (benches, ball machine, backboard etc). That is about it.  All the members of the Ogden Valley Tennis Association are unpaid volunteers, putting in hundreds of hours.  In order to keep costs low we are fortunate to be a fundraiser for, and part of, the Community Foundation of Ogden Valley or the CFOV.  The CFOV is made up of altruistic volunteers who dedicate hundreds of hours a year to fundraising so that they can match the funds we individual non-profits try to raise to keep our organizations going.  Without these match funds, we could not afford to keep tennis lessons affordable and available in Ogden Valley.

How can you help us this year?
Last year they matched what you donated and we earned $2450 from the CFOV!!! THANK YOU!

When you sign up your students for lessons this year, we will repeat what we did last year. Our lesson cost is $30 for a 3-day clinic.  We are asking that you pay $15 per week to our Paypal account on this website to hold your student's spot each week.  For the remaining $15 for each week's lesson, you choose the CFOV button to add to your cart.   This is really just the rest of your lesson fee. You of course can pay more than that to help us raise funds for our OVERDRIVE fundraiser.

Don't forget your donation is TAX DEDUCTIBLE! It helps us, it helps you! Please print out your email and save it for your tax records.

You can also come and have a blast at the August 6th, 2016  OVerDRIVE Event at Wolf creek.  There will be games, purchased golf balls dropped out of a helicopter for BIG prizes and lots of food, music and a Shaved Ice booth sponsored by the OVTA!
